Does not support controllers. Use an Xbox One Controller which every other steam game is fine with, except this game. Am dissapointed with false advertising of controller support and no other way to play the game.UPDATE 01\/27\/19: After further diagnosing I was able to resolve this by DISABLING XBOX controller support in general settings and enabling general\/STEAM controller support. This is awkward because I have to switch it back on after finishing for other games to work properly, but it did resolve the original issue.. Top notch lo-fi racing with a twist that exceeds novelty and becomes a gem. It feels as good as it looks, and sounds nice too. The controls are easy, the learning curve is comfortable, and the skill ceiling is high. Exploring and doing stunts offers more casual fun aside from the racing. The single player campaign, specifically the stunt missions, are the only thing I'd call remotely trash. Thats a lot coming from me, as I am a huge snob.I'd like to see more!. Great creative racing game in space, looks like Daft Punk and TRON.Campaign mode that starts out tutorial-like but quickly becomes challenging. This will humble you and teach you patience at hyperspeed.A free-roam\/time-trial\/exploration mode, XP to be gathered, new tracks to unlock.I am hoping there will be more online players in the near future. This game deserves more players.Good if you like:tough games with simple controlsadrenalinemariokart and wipeout and marionew ideasneonWorth the price most definitely. The music becomes a bit tedious for me personally, so I like to play without or with my own music. I like the vibe of the game without music the most, the silence of the surroundings seems in tune with the vastness and lifeless vibe of Lightfield's scifi world to me.Really fun to play with your friends.Bonus points:Freedom to differentiate between time trial and exploration mode freely in game, feels good.Freshness of a new game mechanic that works intuitively very well. When you go smooth it feels very great, it is due to the simple and effective designs of the ships, the animations and the sounds, everything works together very harmoniously.Minus points:This is a nitpick, but I personally would like to see some more diversity in vibe and environments. I don't really want to hold it against this game though, it's more something I'd like to see in a follow-up or DLC. It speaks to how good this game feels to play as well; I just want more of it. This doesn't really count I guess, it's more me rambling in the middle of a review.Okay, real ones though:The menu is a bit confusing in it's setup at when you start a challenge. After getting all the different tracks you can unlock them again, but at night and mirrored. This feels a bit anticlimactic and less rewarding than getting a whole new track at another planet or something you saw from afar in a previous track. I don't dislike the idea of the nighttime mirrored tracks, buuuhuuut... I'd rather have them as an optionably unlockable feature of the tracks you've unlocked than the final tracks you can uncover.Whatever, it's still a great game, if you can afford it and feel that tickle in your gut, your inner child yodel with delight, maybe you should buy it.
